About Ebonee

I became a caregiver for a couple of reasons. The first reason was that I felt I could only get a job with my CNA license because I wasn't having any luck with finding a job in other areas such as retail. My second reason is that I watched my grandmother suffer from Alzheimer's disease and I used to take note of the home health aide and how she was able to help my grandmother since we couldn't. I get the best satisfaction from simply knowing I am helping someone who cannot help themselves. I am so grateful that I am able to use my abilities to make someone feel good or letting someone know that I am there to serve them and help them. A personal achievement that I am proud of is graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I say that because I had the odds stacked against me such as not having a job, not having a car and not knowing where my next meal was going to come from. I am currently in the pre-dental post bac program at the same school and will be graduating again next May with my BA in Biology. Next year I will be attending dental school and that will be my life for the next 4 years. In the meantime, I'll be working and saving to support myself through dental school. Doing something that I enjoy such as being a caregiver, is not even a "job" to me. That's why I truly love being able to help others and that its something as easy as breathing.

I am able to build a bond with the people I work with, this is not a 'job' to me, I genuinely care about the people I work with. I am 35 years old, have 2 children, 16 & 10. I think I am fun and outgoing, and am able to adapt to my surroundings.
