Hello! This is Heidi. Nice to meet you! I am a warm, bubbly, encouraging person. I have a sunny disposition and a can do attitude. I'm also a relationship builder. These characteristics give me the fuel I need to get through tough situations. I became attracted to caregiving in a personal way. I had a family member who needed caregiving services. I took care of her when I was in college and learned a lot about compassion and empathy and how important a caregiver role is. Due to her caregivers, she was able to have a better quality of life. I'm happy that I got to be a part of that caregiving experience. What do I enjoy most about being a caregiver? Connection. I truly love the connections built with the family, and, most importantly, the person receiving the care. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to overcome adversity gracefully. That may sound vague, but showing grace in difficult situations is definitely an achievement in its own right. I'd also say I'm proud of having what it takes to work hard to achieve the goals I set so I can set new ones and keep growing.
