Hello! My name is Chantel Otto and I am a dedicated caregiver offering a unique combination of formal medical training, childcare patience, and deep personal empathy. I would love to help families navigate the journey of aging, medical challenges, and cognitive changes with dignity, comfort, and peace of mind. My commitment to this line of work is deeply personal. I am currently a caregiver for my mother, and I previously cared for my grandfather, a proud veteran who lived with Alzheimer's disease. Having walked this path twice with my own family, I truly understand the emotional weight caregiving carries. I know what it feels like to want absolute safety, patience, and genuine companionship for someone you love. To complement my personal caregiving journey, I bring a robust professional background from both fast-paced healthcare environments and educational settings such as hospital level vigilance. My experience working in a hospital virtual ICU taught me how to closely monitor individuals, track any subtle changes in health conditions, and coordinate complex care plans. Being calm under pressure I've learned working part-time in the emergency department. This gave me the ability to remain calm, focused, and resourceful during stressful medical situations or sudden changes in health. I'm also a certified phlebotomist. My clinical training has allowed me to be comfortable around medical environments, lab work, and basic clinical needs. In my childcare and early education background; working part-time as an early education teacher has given me a profound level of patience, exceptional behavioral management skills, and a naturally nurturing approach to daily routines. I hold active BLS/CPR and SIDS certifications, ensuring your loved one is in safe, emergency-ready hands at all times. I look forward to learning about your family's unique needs and seeing how my clinical skills, educational patience, and personal heart can support your loved one.
Caregivers that work non-full-time jobs or irregular shifts can negotiate extra compensation in addition to their standard hourly wage.
