I am 38 years old and I became a CNA 1 in 2003 and in 2009 I went back and got my CNA 2. I have worked in the healthcare field from 2003-2018. My passion has always been to take care of the elderly and those who need an extra hand. I became a healthcare worker because, in my opinion, our elders were there for us when we needed them to take care of us and to assist with our needs and I feel like we should repay our gratitude by being there for them when the time comes and they need our help. My experience has been in nursing homes, retirement centers, rehabilitation unit, in home care, Alzheimer's, special needs, personal care aid, companionship and 2 years of special needs pediatric care. I am a single mother of three boys, ages 21, 18 and 13. In 2018, I came out of the healthcare field temporarily to help get my boys though school. I am now ready to continue my passion in life and looking forward to getting back into the healthcare field.
