I care about people. I am a people person. I have the client's best interest at heart. I had worked for Transylvania Regional Hospital for nearly 15 years when the economy forced them to lay off 38 of us aides who were "Home Health Aides" out in Transylvania and Henderson counties. I was a prn aide, working an average of 10 to 30 hours per week, depending on the need of TRH. I cared for a variety of patients around both counties. My duties included total patient care, including baths, skin care and monitoring, taking vital signs, monitoring blood sugar, meal preparation, light housekeeping and grocery shopping.
