I became a caregiver, because I have the desire to assist and help people. The most rewarding thing about being a caregiver, is being able to interact with different people and taking care of them in their time of need. A personal achievement that I am proud of is that I raised 6 good kids. I have been involved in care giving for over 15 years. I gave up my personal care giving job to take care of my mother 5 of those years prior. I also have assisted in taking care of my disabled brother majority of my life. I have also worked in home health settings and nursing home settings for over the last ten years. It gives me great joy and peace to see the elderly being take care of. ... more
