Hello, My name is Heather Herring, I am a 39 year old mother of two. I have played the "caregiver" role for as long as I can remember, my mother always making sure to note what a nurturing and caring mother I would be one day when I was a child. I grew up to become just that, but I also grew up and became the caregiver to more than just my own two babies, but also to many others family members. Becoming a CNA first, then a RN later, I have taken care of countless people, and their loved ones. Taking an oath to advocate always for my patients and be their number one supporter and voice if need be so they received the care and attention that they need. I have provided resources to those who weren't quite sure what they needed and assisted them along the way in the right direction they needed to go. I have helped patients remain as independent as possible while also assisting them when needed in regards to the patients activities of daily living. Unfortunately it's the little things as we get older that keeps patients from maintaining their independence and it's an honor to be able to assist others with those little things that enable patients to remain in their home, their comfortable place, for as long as possible, while being that liaison between patient and provider, bridging the two together so that patients can receive the care and medical attention they need without necessarily having to go into a doctors office, but rather right there in the comforts of one's own home. Everyone is someone's daughter or son, and as they age and their health starts to decline they deserve the same care, love, and support as that I would provide my own two children. And if you know me at all, you know that I love my children more than anything else in this world. Just as my mother told me growing up, how she knew I was gonna be the best "lil mama" as she put it, I strive to give my patients the same amount of care and love as I do my own because in ways they do become family.
