Worked in client's home who had taken a fall and consequently needed hip replacement, also assisted her with support stockings, ice packs, transfers, walker, showers, dressing, laundry, light housekeeping, meal prep and med reminders, as well as strengthening exercises given by PT and OT. Another assignment was with a 90 year old client having COPD, strokes, and confined to the bed. She developed a bed sore which opened wide, had catarrh to be emptied and recorded intake and output. Assists a client who is bedridden in her home with skin care, changing diapers, meal preps, meds reminders, rotating in bed, and companion care. Stayed overnight with 85 years old lady with COPD. Daily checked her oxygen machine for proper functioning, companion care, meds reminders, and light meal preparations, assist with setup of nebulizer for treatment, assist with transfers. Stayed with 58 year old man with Cancer on oxygen machine. Stayed overnight with him who was on Hospice care making sure he was safe using the bathroom, keeping him comfortable, checking on the water container attached to his oxygen machine. Changed bed linen, gave massages, assisted with breakfast, offered words of comfort and support to family members, etc.
