Hi my name is Sheena, I live in Black Mountain/Swannanoa. I am 29. I have done Personal Care Assistant for 11yrs, I have worked with people of different disability. I have 4 yrs experience IN-Home Aid. I have worked for nursing facility/Nother Carolina State vet Home. Why I Choose this path in life, Well My heart, I feel if your hearts NOT in this field of work then this field NOT for you(My Appention) You come in to this field of work and look at your patience/patience's as there your love ones(Mother,Father,Brother,Sister,Uncle,Ant ect..) just the way you love them and would take care of them/or fight for there life you should do your patience,learn your patience as they learn you.. you never know what some one been throw or going throw so be respectful, because ONE day that could be your love one or your self... Ever day NOT going to be easy or the best or the same, but everyday when you close your eyes at night to rest as long as your heart knows you done your best then you done your BEST!!! A personal achievement that I am very proud of is that I founded and community magazine while living in Australia that gives a good wholesome reflection of the lives and communities in a rural area. I sold the magazine to an Australian before I returned to the states and the magazine is still going strong! I am a Christian but acknowledge all religions. Hey! My name is Kimberly. I'm 32 years old. I served 8 years in the Army. A year after getting out I started working at a state hospital (mental hospital) in Kansas. This was something I had never done before. I was placed on the geriatric unit. I LOVED working on this unit! I loved getting to know each patient and building a rapport with them. I truly enjoy caring for people. I enjoy sitting and talking / listening and getting to know them. I believe as a caregiver the patient should be treated as you would want your own family to be treated. I am proud of what I have done in my life this far.
