About Barbara

Aside from the many years of dedication to clients who suffer from Alzheimers, I have a passion for building relationships and helping elders live a meaningful life. I wholeheartedly understand the struggles that come with Alzheimers disease as I've had 16 plus years of experience working with clients and their families. Caregiving is not simply a "job" for me but more so a relationship between a caregiver and a client. I am one to give my heart and be very patient for my clients. What makes me different from other caregivers is that i do my very best to try to make the client's life comfortable by not only providing the necessary care but also making sure they are responding well and connecting with me, even without verbally communicating. I make sure that my clients are not "corrected" by me, rather are supported and understood, whether the content of what is being said makes sense or not. I've learned that the longer I committ myself to helping the client, the more I value, care for, and love the client. What matters most to me is the well-being of my client, both physically and emotionally.
