For nearly a decade, I've provided care for elderly and intellectually challenged individuals, doing everything I can to make their lives just a little easier. I am 20 years old, and I wanted to become a caregiver because I thoroughly enjoy helping people in need. I plan to become a Registered Nurse so I can further my career in care giving. I am patient when it comes to taking care of the elderly, I am highly respectful of them and let them set the pace when there is a certain everyday living activity we are accomplishing; I do my best to encourage them and let them make decisions about their care so they can stay as independent as possible, and it is my personal goal each day to walk in with a smile on my face to ensure that my patient and their families know I am more than happy to help them in any way that I can. I am also very understanding when it comes to families worrying about certain things with their lived one(s) and do my best to assure them that I will always keep my patient's best interest at heart. I do my best to comfort families during the grieving process when their loved one(s) pass away by praying for them and telling them they will be in my prayers, and that God will be with them through the difficult time.

I have been a CNA for 14yrs and I absolutely love what I do! I love making a difference in someone's life rather it's big or small. I treat my patients as they were my own family. I'm a mom of 3 beautiful kids that are my whole world.

I became a caregiver because I love to help the elderly and help them in there everyday life. I enjoy their company and enjoy the stories they tell and their knoknowledge. I have always been told I have a sweet, compassionate, and caring personality. I have an uncle who is on 24/7 oxygen, a walker, and needs assistance getting to doctors appointments. I also have a grandfather who is blind and needs assistance with medication, appointments, and exercise. I want to be a nurse so naturally a caregiver position is ideal. I will hopefully be doing online studies at Jefferson state this fall. That will allow me any schedule to be able to be a proper caregiver. I enjoy helping people I want to help those who can't help themselves. I was a member of FCCLA, BETA club, and year book in high school.

My husband had a severe head trauma in 1997. I retired early from Bellsouth to take care of him. He passed away in 2012. I realized how much I enjoyed caring for others from being his Caregiver for 15 years. I love making their days happier and filled with someone caring for just them. My last patient passed away a few weeks ago, I took care of her for almost a year. Her family and her told me that she was always happy to see me show up, and they were happy that she was enjoying our visits, and felt comfortable going to work and leaving her with me. I am a caring, compassionate person who truly enjoys helping others.
