For nearly a decade, I've provided care for elderly and intellectually challenged individuals, doing everything I can to make their lives just a little easier. I take pride in my work caring for others. Nothing in this world gives me a sense of satisfaction more than caring for someone who is in need.

I have been working as a caregiver, home health aid, patient care attendant, and certified CNA over 15 years now I do love it. I get to work my own hours. I'm always available for any activity in my children have going on in their lives and most importantly I get to make a difference in someone else's life, this is my calling and I take pride and what I do. I am 20 years old, and I wanted to become a caregiver because I thoroughly enjoy helping people in need. I plan to become a Registered Nurse so I can further my career in care giving. I am patient when it comes to taking care of the elderly, I am highly respectful of them and let them set the pace when there is a certain everyday living activity we are accomplishing; I do my best to encourage them and let them make decisions about their care so they can stay as independent as possible, and it is my personal goal each day to walk in with a smile on my face to ensure that my patient and their families know I am more than happy to help them in any way that I can. I am also very understanding when it comes to families worrying about certain things with their lived one(s) and do my best to assure them that I will always keep my patient's best interest at heart. I do my best to comfort families during the grieving process when their loved one(s) pass away by praying for them and telling them they will be in my prayers, and that God will be with them through the difficult time.

I believe once people have overlooked my tattoos, they see what type of heart and love I have for helping people. I've been taking care of people born with intellectual disabilities for almost three years now. I left school like most kids and home schooled to help with my great grandmother and I loved seeing her being took care of properly.

I became a caregiver because I love to help the elderly and help them in there everyday life. I enjoy their company and enjoy the stories they tell and their knoknowledge. My personal achievements I am proud of is graduating highschool and going to nursing school. I am 22 and I love what I do . I am a CNA and I have been certified for 4 YEARS. I am currently working at sylacauga health and rehab .

I'm very outgoing and patient to my companion needs and listen to them My sister died at age 21 and she had cerebral palsy and epilepsy, I watched my mom take care of her as well helping my mom take care of her and it was her (Brandi)is the reason o love taking care old and young.I get great joy of helping people be happy.
