I have been a CNA for almost 15 yrs. I have experience in every area. I've worked in hospitals, long term care facilities, home health, hospice and I've worked with every age. I love taking care of people more than anything. It is truly my calling and I'm extremely compassionate about it. I am honest, trustworthy, and kind. I always try to make my patients smile.

Hello My Name is Patsy I'm 45 years young. I was certified in 2004 as a CNA my certification is expired due to being a sahm I now work as a PCA I have over 20 years of experience in caregiving. I have work with several different situations over the years I make it my passion to keep your love one in there home safely fir as long as possible. I started my journey in caregiving at the age of 17 when my grandfather loss both legs to gangrene he was a type 2 diabetic and needed 24 hours of care I found satisfaction in caring for my grandfather making sure he could stay home and live his everyday life was the best which made me want to help others after I lost my grandfather many years later. I enjoy being a caregiver because I get to help people stay safely in there own homes longer than they would be able to without having a caregiver to help them and knowing that family members can go do things they need to do without having to worry about their loved ones. I have come in so many homes as a stranger and left as a family member and I cherish each and every one of them I may have helped them but they taught me so much more!!

Hmm...about me? When I took the class to become certified, I had no idea the impact it would have on my life, much less, how it would impact the person I am today. I think being personable and empathetic are important qualities that have been enhanced throughout the last nine years. I never put much though into becoming a caregiver, it just kind of came about, but now I feel like its a way for me to step away from "self." Whatever may be going on in life gets left at the door or at the time clock, then I step into another "self." Its hard to describe the way this type of work makes me feel which, in turn, has a positive affect on my job performance and I like to think people can see this shine through in my personality. I can honestly say that I'm happy to have gained the friendships, knowledge and experience I wouldn't have otherwise had a chance to gain. My most recent personal achievement is being enrolled to start on online classes to take the next step in the healthcare feild.

I am working for a company called ICM which is a caregiver company as well. My sister has autism and I used to take care of her. Iv had experience in many situations and I'm only 19. I'm very mature and have a child of my own. I'm looking for a better income that's why I'm applying here.

I became a caregiver in 2017. A gentleman was given my name by a mutual friend. He was told I was compassionate, honest and would be perfect to fill the position he needed for taking care of his wife. I went to meet her, and fell in love with caring for her. She was blind, bedbound and suffered the end stages of dementia. She was non-verbal, and had not communicated in several years. It didn't take long, but she began talking to me! I quickly learned to use a hoyer, and to do daily range of motion exercises, along with physical therapy. After my first job, I was determined to help more people. I had gotten so much out of the progress I seen my patients were making. I have so much patence, and love to help others as if they were my own family. Since I started I've had the opportunity to use a ceiling hoyer, care for a Foley catheter. As well.as using other catheters including condom catheters.

i became a caregiver, because I like caring for people of all ages, it brings me joy to know that someone needs and appreciates me. Things I like about being a caregiver is getting know different people and knowing that they can always depend on me to be there when no else can't. In a nutshell, I just always loved helping people that need me and that security. Some personal achievements that I'm proud of is getting my EMT(Emergency Medical Technician Certification.) I also have certification as a Medical Assistant and Certified nursing assistant. I a 42yr old single mother of 4 children currently in school getting a degree as an RN(Registered Nurse, anticipating graduating on 05/16/2015. I'm also certified and successfully completed the cognitive skills evaluations in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program.
