I believe what makes me a great caregiver is that I take care of all my patients as if they were my own family and make sure they are comfortable and most importantly I listen to their needs. I first became interested in health care when my mother was ill and needed care herself and realized that I had a real passion for helping others. I enjoy knowing that the family can be at ease knowing I'm there taking care of their loved ones. At Long Beach Memorial I was know as the "sitter whisper" because whenever they had a difficult patient they would alway assign me that patient and by the end of the day the patient would no longer require restraints or was completely compliant and friendly. They always ask what was my secret and I would say I simply listen to what their needs are.

I am currently RCFE certified with a 7 years experience as a health care provider. (Certified with California Department of Social Services) My experience includes work with elderly suffering from Parkinson's, dementia, Alzheimer's, sleep apnea, restless feet syndrome, anxiety, ALS, mental heath, individuals with co occurring mental illness such as bipolar, depression, schizophrenia just to mention a few. I've been a caregiver for 35 yrs. I started in this field when I was just 17. I love what I do. I come from a medical family and decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a doctor or nurse. I specialize in geriatric dementia and Alzheimers care. Every client needs to know they're truly cared for on every level with love, patience, and kindness. I enjoy learning from them ... they often have amazing histories, stories and lessons to share.I'm often with my clients for the duration of their lives.

I was attracted to caregiving as a young child when my little sister came home from the NICU with a caregiver to assist my mother with her care.
