I became a caregiver first to my grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's it's a very sad disease to watch. But we wanted what time she did have to be as good for her as possible. Older people have always had my respect. Ive grown up in such a different way when respect was part of life and I feel compelled to continue giving them respect when they can no longer do for themselves. To nurture ,love and give quality care for them as I'd want done for my loved ones and to keep them clean happy and well taken care of. I have since been with 5 other elders through the end of there lives and have seen a litany of different needs that have taught me alot about caretaking from clients with strokes, cancer, catheters, transfers, bed baths, toileting and handling prescription care. I've also completed the training available to me pertaining to Care Taking..

I became a caregiver because my Uncle needed someone to help with all of his needs due to his age. I found it very rewarding to help him as well as others in the community. I too will be in need of a caregiver one day. What I like about being a caregiver is the appreciation I get from the elderly in need. After receiving my bachelors degree in psychology I am able to use what I have learned in a volunteer position with people who needed help with the grieving process. I consider myself to be a good person, honest and trustworthy. I care for my clients as if they were my own family member. Thanks for reading and I look forward to meeting you if I can help at all. I have a very positive personality to help people in need. I have patients and a willingness to serve those that may have disabilities or issues causing them to have extra needs. I'm fun-loving as an individual and always as cheerful as I can be! What attracted me to becoming a caregiver is being able to provide help to those that have a need, so that everyone has equal opportunity. I really enjoy the opportunity to work with someone one on one and get to know them! I'm a former Powerlifter which is similar to Olympic style weight lifting, so I'm pretty strong! I'm very proud of the opportunities I have had as a coach working with people from all over the world! I was the national team head coach for Italy and the Czech Republic in competitive cheerleading! I have served children and people all over the world as a coach and look forward to doing so closer to home.

I have always loved people. when I got my first job at a skilled facility, it helped me to also understand how others depend on those who is there to care for them. I like being a caregiver not only because of the pay but u become someone's friend. my achievement was in a hospital when a gentleman was bought to our facility and he did not want to live. I would pass by his room and say hi even though I didn't get a hi back. one day I decided to go in and start conversation. he did want to talk or eat at that matter. but I let him know I was there as a friend not just a nurse. long story short, he only wanted me to care for him and he ate and got better, but he had cancer mind you. he ended up going home and he passed at home later on down the road....I am privileged to have had an opportunity in life like that one..i am a mother of 6 children. one daughter who is serving in U.S Navy. my others r married proud of them, and I have a son looking into Navy. I have 2 at home with my Husband and I. I am a grandma of 8. I luv my family. I am a Christian and believe for others who doubt themselves. I have counseled a few younger people who now call me mom...I am a very prompt person and I do learn fast if given the chance..

Since I was a little child I was taught to respect and provide special care and attention to older people. Mainly, I was raised by my grandmother whom I always called "Mama". I always enjoyed her company and was happy to take care of her. Therefore being around older people and making them happy gives a great pleasure to me. People call me a kind, honest, highly responsible, and hard working person, who keeps her heart open for everyone! Per your request, I'll be happy to show my CA Registration Number as a Home Health Aid, background check, liability insurance, bounding, and Caregiving Academy Certificate of training. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me directly at 805-709-2187. Thank you.
