I like caregiving because I can make my client feel like they can trust me while caring for them when they don't have families, help, or their family has passed away. I am a former Emergency medical technician, I enjoy making peoples day better. I am a laid back, energetic person. I enjoy taking my dogs for walks and spending time with my family. I am proud that I graduated school and became an emergency medical technician

I became a caregiver so that I could be able to take care of my mother, I like the one on one care that way I can take better care of the clients. My sisters and I took care of my mother for 14 years. I know she 's was getting the best care at home instead of being in a nursing home. I thank God she lived to be 92 years old. I have learn so much by taking care of her. I have been a Certified Nurse Assistant for 16 year. And I love taking care of peoples, that 's my calling.

My expertise is being a caregiver. I love helping and taking care of people! I started working in a nursing facility then I decided that I wanted to do home health. I love to be able to help someone to stay at their place of residency rather than them having to leave their familiar environment.

Born to older parents, exposed to illness, my parents didn't believe that this should be hidden from me. It would be better to be exposed in order to be prepared for life. Parents were German immigrants, and went through the second world war. One of the earliest experiences that I can remember is my dad relapsing from malaria. I applied cold compresses, and served him liquids, as the doctor told me to. My mom was ill, and cared for her until she died at age 46.I was 12. At 17, I was hired by Kimberly Quality Care as a home health aide. My client suffered a traumatic brain injury, and I learned so much from his family and the research I did on the subject. This led me to nursing school, and here it is, so many years later, and I am still learning more. Science and medicine are my passion, and that will never change. The advances made daily basis are not just amazing, but confounding. The scientific community is one I'm proud to be a part of. The best thing that I have ever done was in South Carolina, on the 3-11 shift. In order to save a life, I bypassed facility protocol, and I called rescue to send a patient to the hospital STAT. The staff was shocked, and told me that I would be fired. I was ready to lose my license, if that would just save that life. Long story short, the MD, who was also the medical director, treated this patient. He came in the following shift to let me know that the person survived, and if I had hesitated, that would not have been the case. I receiv

My listening skills go past my ears and mind. As a caregiver I listen with my heart. My upbeat attitude has a mission to make one smile. I became a caregiver as a result of seeing my mother taking care of grandpa due to an amputated leg. I got hired at a nursing home in dietary and my coworkers advised me to nurse. I did and fell in love. There is something special about helping someone and seeing the change you make in their day. I must say that is the greatest achievement. I'm originally from Oklahoma. I come from a small town called Altus.

I am a very warm, caring, and friendly person. I love helping others. I have worked with Special Needs and the Elderly and I adore working with them both equally. I helped take care of my own Grandmother when she was legally blind so I think that is what attracted me to Caregiving. It gives me a special feeling to be helping make someone have a brighter day and feel better about themselves. I feel it is my calling in Life to be Helping Others.
