Hello! I'm a 51 yr old female with 10+ years as a caregiver and Home Health Aide. Five of those years I was a personal caregiver to my parent with dementia/alzheimers. I started out as a state tested nurse aide in a nursing home with a memory care unit. My duties included bathing the residents, linen changing, feeding, denture care, personal hygiene, assistance with light exercise, etc. I then went on to become a home health aide and assisted Seniors in their own homes. This was my favorite part of caregiving and met many wonderful people. During my visits I would help them bathe, style their hair, trim nails, etc. I would also prepare healthy meals and provide companionship. I would perform light housekeeping and laundry services. I would provide transportation to doctors appointments and grocery shopping. My visits also included medication reminders, watering houseplants and feeding pets. If you are looking for a compassionate, supportive, dedicated caregiver, I would love to speak with you!

I am naturally compassionate, patient, empathetic, and highly observant. I have a calm demeanor even in stressful situations, strong communication skills, and a genuine respect for dignity and independence. I was drawn to caregiving because I've always felt fulfilled by helping others in meaningful, tangible ways. The thing I enjoy most is the genuine relationships and the small moments of joy I get to share with the people I care for.
