I have been state tested since graduating high school. I am a mother of 4 and a wife of 13 yrs. I love working with patients and their family. I am very well at leaving my personal life at the door and being able to enjoy my day at work. Caring for people is all I know how to do. I just have to be able to be a parent as well with schools being done at home so can't do the long shifts of working in a nursing home. I take as many extra learning as can to help enhance my certification . I'm very easy to get along with and as flexible as needed. I have worked in home health, hospitals, as well as Nursing homes. My patients happiness means a lot to me or how the family thinks of me so always try to do my best. I have always liked helping people which is why I chose this field right out of high school. I have always kept my certification in good standing I've had my certification since 2001 and still on state registry with no complaints ever on my care. I have been in the field of caregiving in some form or another, most of my adult life. I have worked as a Nursing assistant in nursing homes, a hospital on the Med/surgery and Palliative care floor, and out of clients homes. I currently work as provider for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities on the weekends. I have provided support for DD individuals for most of the past 7-8 years. Along with professional care, I have also given care to family members at home after a stroke, and with post-surgery care as well. Hi! I've been an RN for 26 yrs. I LOVE caring for others and all that comes with being a nurse. I'm not necessarily looking for high-tech, intensive nursing right now. I'm more interested in getting out of the house to be of use to someone who needs some assistance at home or out in the community. Our 3 sons are grown and out on their own now.
