I am very knowledgeable in the caring field. I am dependable & trustworthy. I don't have children so I put all of my heart and time into those who need me. I feel like God has blessed me with the skills and ability to have a caring heart. I strive to make your loved ones journey as safe & productive as possible. I love nurturing . One of my favorite experiences being a caregiver are the families that I meet and become close with. They become family to me too. I took care of my husband who passed after 19 years of cancer, my grandparents , who both suffered from Alzheimer's. Spent numerous years working in a rest home & for private clients in their home. Here I've learned many skills for many areas where disease affects family. If you choose me to be a part of your care team I'm confident I can complete any task asked of me. After caring for my fiance's bed bound Uncle for 2 years back in 2013, I found myself going to night school to get into the Medical Field, so I could do more for patients like him. The entire time I was putting myself through night school, I took care of a few other disabled elderly neighbors. While working at NCMC hospital, and then a Gastroenterologist office, I did not feel I was where God wanted me. After speaking with the doctor I was working for and his wife, they pointed me in a direction to help hospice clients. I finally felt I was where God wanted me. In December of 2019, after my sister passed away from cancer, my Mom called and asked me to come home. She said she needed me to help her during her surgeries. I didn't hesitate. I sold my house and moved up here to Fayetteville to help my brother with my Mom. 6 months later she passed and I found myself right back in Home Health Care. I have always gone where I was needed and wanted. The appreciation the clients show me, just from the way their eyes smile at me, that pulls me right back to where I feel I belong. My apologies for not being available on the weekends. I was blessed with becoming a grandmother, shortly after my mom passed, so my weekends are pretty much taken up by my precious Grandson. Monday - Friday, if I am open, I would love to step in and help. Remember, no matter where you are in this walk of life, God has a plan for each and everyone of us. Hello! If you are reading this, first I would like to say it's nice to informally make your acquaintance. I know it can be very hard to find the right caregiver for your loved one. I have a sister with Autism who is low functioning and it was very hard to find a trustworthy caregiver as my parents got older. But I do want to let you know it's possible. If given the chance I can ensure you that your loved one would be treated as if she/he were my own sister. My first job in Home Health Care was when I was 20 years old with a man who had cerebral palsy. Not only was I his caregiver but we became friends through that 3 year experience. And that is what your loved one needs not someone who will just do their duties and go home but someone who is looking to care, to love and to be a friend. Since Home Health Care I have stayed in the education system working with young adults and children with special needs, both with physical and mental disabilities. I have 9 years of professional experience but I have a lifetime of personal experience with my own sister. I can only say so much, but if given the opportunity to work with your loved one I can definitely show you more than I can say it.
