I became a care giver because I enjoy people and felt I had a lot to contribute to the lives of others and to society. Caregiving allows me to give of myself to help those who have a difficult time carrying out their activities of daily living. I am proud of serving as an LNA in the Geropsychiatric unit at the local hospital. I feel I contributed to giving dignity and respect to the patients that were there. I truly enjoyed facilitating the groups social activities hour. As much as the patients enjoyed contributing I also learned a lot.
