I have been a caregiver for 14 plus years. Since a young child, I have been around nursing facilities in some way because everyone in my family has worked in one. I used to volunteer in the nursing facility that my mom worked in with the activities department. I would help make cookies and pass them out to the residents. I enjoy the most sitting with them and listening to their stories. Becoming a caregiver came natural to me.
