I am a dedicated caregiver with 14 years experience to elderly patient with Alzeimer/Dementia. I am friendly, cheerful, with a dependable personality to make a real differences in the lives of individual as well as their family. I was employed by a family from 10/2003-4/2014 as a full time live in caregiver to their mother and as they have said I was a Godsend. My patient fractured her leg in 2002 and was on rehabilitation when I got hired by them. She developed Dementia and needed more extensive care as years passed by. I devoted myself to my patient to improve the quality of her life. I assumed full time care in all aspects of her life including bathing, dressing, feeding, exercising and cleaning. At the end of my patients life I rarely left her side. She was bedridden for her last 18 months and because of my loving care she never had any bedsore or any skin problems. The hospice doctor and nurses marveled their patient's condition. My patient was always clean, comfortable and protected from harm. She treated me like her own daughter and even considered me a member of their family. Honesty, humility, a caring heart and love are the hallmarks of my spirit as what my employer described about me.
