I have become a caregiver because I love assisting others. I like Being a caregiver because is rewarding in it's own way. You get to actually see your hard work paying off with smiles and relief. I love the fact that I have someone who relies on me and I get to be there every step of the way to assist them. I am down to earth, detail oriented, friendly, kind, caring and playful. I enjoy relaxing under the sun and reading books. I like working out and listening to music and I love beach days!! I think what makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I actually care. After I take in the responsibility of caring for another individual its no longer just about a pay check. Its making sure that their needs are met and that they are comfortable. Making sure that they can live a little more. Be able to make them what they want to eat, even if they're only allowed a small portion. ( I love to cook) Letting them know that they are in control of the situation and I am just here to help and make their time more enjoyable. Alot of people who are in need of caregivers tend to feel a little down about things because they feel like they cannot do for themselves. I like to let them know that there is nothing wrong with assistance. Its a circle of life. The personal achievement that I am proud of most is being strong and independent. I am proud to say that I can survive and maintain myself. I believe that if you can support yourself, you can conquer anything!!!
