Hello my name is Schella, and I have had the privilege of working as a caregiver for about 20 years now. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my passion for this incredibly rewarding profession. Throughout my years as a caregiver, I have found immense joy in being able to help others and provide them with a sense of love and support. It is truly fulfilling to witness the positive impact I can make on the lives of those I care for. Patience and kindness have been very helpful in shaping my role as a caregiver. These traits allow me to navigate various situations with compassion and understanding, ensuring that the individuals under my care receive the attention and support they deserve. One of the aspects that drew me to this profession is the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and learn from their experiences. Each person I have the pleasure of caring for brings a unique perspective, and I value the wisdom I gain through these interactions. Perhaps what I cherish most about being a caregiver is the ability to make a genuine difference in the lives of my clients. Many of the elderly individuals I work with face feelings of loneliness and the absence of companionship. Why I would be a great caregiver, I had taken care of my mother for many years she had arthritis in her hip, knees she waited too many years before she had surgery at that time it was too late for the healing process to recover 100% she always needs help to walk and get around like shopping or her day to day errands, taking a bath at times, cleaning, cooking, going to doctors appointments. As her daughter, I was there for my mother for many 15 years helping her to have a normal life as possible, caregiver, provider, and a good listener I love to help people in any way possible in today's world of Covid19. I see many elderly people that may need help I always ask if I could help in any small way that I could help. I have worked in a customer service environment for many years in my career I enjoy listening, acknowledging what is going on in their life what can I do to help, always showing empty with grace. I would treat anyone with the utmost respect with kindness if I would be their caregiver. I was proud to help my mother and to say I was her daughter if she was still alive today I would do it all over again with no hesitation.
