I became a caregiver after I retired from banking. I found it a position where I do things for elderly people that need help, things that I do for myself. I love being a caregiver / companion since I love being a friend, helping, and being sure they do not feel alone. I love hearing about all of their experiences and families, One client that I have did not want to decorate for the Christmas holidays since she was alone, we went shopping and bought a new tree and all the decorations and went to her home and I decorated her home - and took it all down after the holidays - she was so happy and said it was the best Christmas that she had in years. I am a Christian and I am involved with church activities. I once was a leader for a senior ministry at a former church that I attended. I plan bus trips each year for my church to Pa to see a show at Sight & Sound - we have a lot of seniors that come on the trip even though it is open to everyone. I love photography, reading and love pets and have taken care of cats and dogs. I try to be as friendly and caring and do not have a problem making new friends. Even though I am older and a retired banker, I am still young at heart. I also love working with children, I volunteer at church for Vacation Bible School, work in the nursery when needed and have led a kids choir in the past. So I work with both children and seniors.
