Hello, I consider myself a warm, compassionate person with a gift of patience. I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need. Everyone deserves that kind of experience in life and I believe everyone needs somebody. My name is Chelsea, and I am a mother of two children, aged 7 and 3. I have professional experience working with Holy Redeemer, where I provided assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) for clients. My role involved engaging in interactive activities, aiding with bathing, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and ensuring hygienic care. I also played a critical part in medication management, ensuring that clients took their medications at the appropriate times. In my previous positions, I have worked with patients diagnosed with various conditions, including Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, diabetes, neuropathy, and muscle atrophy. I approach my work with compassion and dedication, treating my clients with the same care and respect I would offer to my own family members.
