Hello! My name is Nancy. I am currently a full time college student, senior, obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Science in Biology of Premedical Sciences at Kean University, I commute. I have been a C.N.A. at a nursing home nearby for about a year. I am 21 years old and am great with the geriatric population (but am not limited to this specific population of people). I have volunteered at nursing homes/rehab centers throughout my high school career participating in all activities, such as; bingo, singing/dancing, arts/crafts,etc. My job responsibilities as a C.N.A. include; bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, range of motion exercises, gait walking, oral care, etc. I also volunteer at Hackensack Hospital in a program called H.E.L.P. (Hospital Elderly Life Program). My responsibilities as a volunteer are to; spend time with patients, have conversations to help them stay oriented, play/listen to music of their choice, mind-strengthening activities i.e. puzzles, word finds, Sudoku, coloring, etc.
