What makes me a great caregiver is that I have the patience and understanding that we all need help in some type of way. I have been a caregiver for 19 years in every capacity. I have worked with the mentally ill, psychiatric and geriatric population. I also know that it is not for everyone, but I know its rewarding. What I am most proud of is that I have held the same job for 19 years and counting. I have a caring heart, and I am humble enough to understand that in every walk of life, you have to be kind and remember that one day you can be in that person's shoes, so humility is one of my strengths.
