My father who is 92 years old also lives with me. As a companion, I offer encouragement and warmth. **** Professionally before becoming a caregiver: I had a dry cleaning business for 17 years. I cultivated long-term relationships with my customers. I contributed to the local community through my service-based business. I worked as the church secretary for a 350-people congregation. I also served in the treasury department. **** Relationships are very important in my life. I had a strong relationship with my mother who passed away 15 years ago. It taught me that life is too short. I regret that I could have done better with my own mother, so I give back to elders as a caregiver. In family life, I have also taken care of members who are elderly and ill. My community looks to me for support during challenging times such as managing their health with cancer or terminal illness. When I'm not working, I love to cuddle with my three cats, travel with my family, and contribute to my family's ministries for young adults who need healing and guidance.
