Hello, My name is Brian McCallion. I am 43 years old and enjoy helping people. I have worked as a caregiver with my family and some friends' families, but this is my first time seeking employment outside of that circle. I have a great love for communicating and trying to improve the lives of others. My mother also told me to treat people as I would like to be treated and I try to live life by that golden rule. I have a lot of energy, enjoy communication and always put everything I have into anything that I attempt. I just came back to America after spending eight years as an English as a second language teacher in South Korea. It was a tremendous experience and it gave me real perspective in my life. I am no longer content with working just to make money. I really need to do something rewarding. Something that can make a difference in the world. If I have to do it one person at a time, then that is okay by me. If you give me a chance to prove myself; I guarantee that it is a choice that you will not regret. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping others, I love spending time with people listening to their life stories and the feeling of being able to be a companion to some one who needs it is amazing. It fills my heart with so much joy. At the age of 14 I helped my mother take care of my dying father during that time I realized how special I was to my father not just because I was his daughter but because he relied on me to help him with all his daily activities and it never bothered me I enjoyed being able to help him, so I guess I decided at a early age I wanted to help people in need.
