- My personality traits that allow me to be successful in my profession as a caregiver are: loyal, trustworthy, compassionate, resourceful, patient and overall kind which I believe is a trait that is overlooked in caregivers. - My attraction to this profession came from a young age in my country due to seeing the abuse and neglect our elderly suffer through and wanting to make a change in their lives. I love being able to put a smile on my employers' faces and showing them kindness and professionalism that they may not be accustomed to receiving. - My enjoyments that come from this job are simple really, I enjoy the personable relationships I garner with my employers that allow for a comfort in the environment I work in. I enjoy waking up knowing that the work I do will help someone in need and that I will be making a difference in someone's life. -What I am most proud of in this profession and in my life as a whole is being able to take a passion of mine from a different country and be able to take that and make a twenty year career out of it. I became a citizen and got my HHA license shortly after and have been changing the lives of many in this twenty year journey. I am proud of being able to have had so many clients with many different issues and to have helped them and learned so much patience throughout.
