I became a caregiver because i love caring and helping those who cannot do for themselves and to take care of my ill grandmother. Being a caregiver brings me a feeling of fulfillment and happiness. It's a passion of mine to be able to assist those who need assistance. I find myself to be lucky to have found a job i am passionate about and love doing. I am proud to be able to help those who need it, especially my grandmother. i cared for her for 5-6 years, until she passed away, and was able to bring a smile to her face and keep her as comfortable as possible before she passed away. I also worked for hos pice at a nursing home, which was being reviewed/inspected by the state, and was praised on my work ethic and how i cared for the patients. I was told that they haven't seen a worker, in the whole time they were there, care for them and be as gentle but hardworking and clean (my personal hygiene and cleaning the patients room) and praised my work ethics/capability to the owner. Since i was there through a hospice agency, the owner offered me a job to work there full time, however i've only had my CHHA certification and i needed my CNA to work there, but they told me when i get my CNA i still have the job offer to work there. that is my proudest achievement i have from being a caregiver. I am a reliable hardworking caregiver and this type of work is what i dedicate my life to, and for the 5-6 years i took care of my grandmother, i literally dedicated my life to caring for her.
