What makes me a great caregiver is that It is essential that as a caregiver I feel the desire to want to help. By showing both empathy and compassion, i will let the person know that I care about them and want to do what i can to help them in every way possible. I became a caregiver because I enjoy working with people and mostly enjoy jobs where i have one-on-one interaction with others. I also enjoyed taking care of elder family members . I like older adults and feel i can get along well with a variety of elders, I like doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life, I like doing a variety of tasks in a day, I don't ever say, "that's not my job" but instead I like pitching in to do whatever is needed. But most of all I love making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better. What I like about being a caregiver is that The opportunity to make life more manageable for clients of all ages , I like helping them to become more independent snd how happy they are when they receive something from one of their love ones, I also like working with the elderly because they are always willing to talk with you about things in their life that made them the happiest and how far they have become . So with that said an personal achievement I am very proud is that I can make a difference in people's lives as I continue my path on my caregiver career journey .
