I started in this field 12+ years ago. I have worked with many different clients from elderly to children and clients with mental and physical disabilities. I am CPR and first aid certified, and I have had many other trainings such as at the VA hospital of Albuquerque the nurses trained me with caths, (For men and women). At UNM in Albuquerque I have had trainings with pic lines, iv's and g-tubes. I know how to give injections and also have been trained in medication administration. I have worked with clients who have had Dementia, MS, developmental dissabilities, extremely behavioral $17.50 an hour, clients with OCD, Prayder Willie, full care, partial care and some that need no help at all with their every day physical needs but more help with remembering or need a staff prompts to help, forgetfulness Ect. That's where I come In for assistance with their ADLS. *** I mostly in the past have worked with clients on the DD Wavier or Are through Mi Villa, or are private pay***. I also provide Respite care for my clients and their families this is usually for people who have an individual with mental and physical disabilities or an individual with one or the other. who live with a family care provider or at home with family and the families need a break or a vacation, I am willing to take clients into my home for a short period of time that's Respite. I would get paid 24 hours a day. I have an extra room in my home and I save it for clients. This is a very short term basis. They would have to have the hours with the waiver for this. no longer than 2 weeks at a time. If ur private pay we could negotiate prices. My house is in a great neighborhood in the NE heights of Albuquerque. Community access is when I take a client into the community and work on a life goal that pay also goes up $16.50 an hour.
