The Arnolds were a couple who have been married for 75 years. Jim had dementia and Teddy has a bone deficiency among other challenges for both of them. I did everything to make them more comfortable in their day and night needs such as; preparing 4 meals per day and night, washing dishes, washing their laundry, sweeping and vacuuming the floors, bathing and toileting, dressing assistance, doctors appointments, prescription and errands runs, clean the bathrooms and walking assistance, plus companionship.

Helped Philip, who had stage 2 dementia start his day with shaving assistance, brush his teeth and shower. Dressing assistance and then make his breakfast. If it was his Adult Center day, I would read the Bible to him or just pass the time with him talking about his past achievements and highlights of his life, before the bus arrived to pick him up and later bring him back home. While Philip was away, I would clean the bathrooms, make his bed, do laundry as needed, go grocery shopping, go pick up prescription medicines and run any other errands that needed to be done. Drove him to doctors appointments, took him to parks and encouraged him to visit his girlfriend Diana, who lived only 1 block away. Sometimes, I would walk with him, if he seemed disoriented. Lunch and dinner would be prepared daily. Washing the dishes and keeping the kitchen clean was a daily chore. Made sure he took his medications at all different times of the day and night. During the night, I would check on him to see if he fell on the floor while going to the bathroom.
