About WILLIAM BLAKE

With more than 30 years in the workforce, I've gained valuable experience as a multimedia journalist, a wildland firefighter and emergency dispatcher, a stage manager and producer for live theater, a teacher and many other roles. My useful skills, however, come from my work as a Behavioral Health Associate in a residential youth program for adolescents and as a school aide for elementary schoolchildren. I've also attained my certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the University of Alaska, where I completed my training as a caretaker for elderly patients in two long-term care facilities. As a client facilitator for the AARP tax aide center, I've been overjoyed to help people of all ages file their taxes for free, and I recently finished a six week cooking class with the Lubbock chapter of the Sustainable Food Center which gave me incredible insights into one of my favorite personal interests: cooking. My other passions include theater, art, writing and exercise, and I have plenty of references who can attest to my abilities as a housekeeper and organizer. I look forward to continuing to employ my talents to assist others in the pursuit of theirs.
