I became a Caregiver, when I became a mother in 1990, I was 19. At the time I didn't know I was in training for what my life has in store for me. I lost my mother in 1996, I was working at the Days Inn a Front Desk Clerk, with two other children, not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life, got a 2nd job working with individuals with a developmental disability in 1998, that's when I started getting paid for being a Caregiver, I stayed with the first company for 2 years, it was 7 of the most intelligent, highly functional men that I was honored to care for, then I had the honor to care for 4 ladies that needed a little more care, that's when I realized what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, I really started caring for people as if they were my mother, and father, I became a CNA, in 2002. My Personal achievement is when I was announced the Nurse of the month of September 2014.I was Created for this, I enjoy life, and I respect life.I have 3 grown beautiful daughters, a handsome grandson, and one on the way. When I'm not caring for someone, I'm enjoying doing nothing, and that's what I like about being a Caregiver...
