About Cecilia

Hello! My name is Cecilia Jobb (pronounced Jobe). I'm a 39-year-old mother of 2 beautiful daughters and an amazing stepson. I've been married to my husband for 16 years and we're still going strong! I have always had a natural and instinctual calling in the medical field and for being a caregiver. I've always been that person that wants to heal and mend everyone and everything. Human, animal, and inanimate objects alike. I realized I had a flair for caregiving when my husband suffered a few health issues back to back several years ago and needed help just existing day to day. My heart hurts to see someone in need of help while everyone around them just ignoring them altogether. I will stop everything I'm doing to help someone in need without a second thought. I describe myself as warm and welcoming with a contagious giggle and laugh. My goal as a caregiver is to leave my client and their families as comfortable as possible with no worries or concerns about anything each day that I'm there. I'm a mother and a wife myself. I know the amazing sense of relief that overcomes a person when everything is complete for the day and there's nothing to worry or stress about. You sleep better and heal better. If I can be that connecting bridge between a client and their families to give them that sense of security, then I've done my job.

    Primarily secretarial work such as: Answering 8 phone lines, ordering dietary stock for our unit, entering all changes and corrections into our timekeeping system (KRONOS), sending out trauma test pages daily to make sure all individual unit pagers are working properly, taking all crash carts, broselow carts, suture tray and an assortment of different instruments to Central Sterile Processing to be cleaned, running urine controls and accudata controls for our shift, making chart packs for all our patient charts, trauma packs & transfer packs, taking orders from 2-4 Dr's depending on the cases we have in the unit, assisting & ordering different labs/tests from 6-8 nurses depending on the day as well, and I would order different supplies that we needed in the unit that we were close to running out of. I was current on my BLS, CNA, Code Pink, Fraud & Abuse, TB/HEP, & FLU/H1N1 vaccinated. I was on the peer review committee for our unit beginning in 2009. I mentored all new employees to train them for my particular job during their 30-60 day probationary period.

    I had an array of daily tasks that I had to conduct in an 8-hour work shift. The following were my responsibilities: Performing Nerve Conduction Studies, Urine Drug Screens for patients receiving prescribed narcotics or opioids, filing & binding all monthly billing reports and any important documentation throughout each year for the practice, keeping a tight inventory on all office supplies for re-ordering, checking patients in & out of their appointments, collecting co-pays and small balances due on patient accounts, scheduling patients for procedures and follow up appointments as well as new patient appointments, returning patient phone calls and notating all correspondence in all patient electronic files in detail, processing all medical records that were requested by lawyers, other dr offices, the social security disability administration, and workman's comp case managers. Invoicing all requested medical records that were to be charged, approving and scheduling private pay patients that were being assisted by an attorney in an active case, verifying insurance eligibility/benefits/deductibles on all new patients coming into our practice or existing patients with new coverage changes, in-taking new workman's comp cases, handling and mailing of class 1, 2 & 3 scheduled medications.
