Hello, my name is Jerricka and I am 32 from Baltimore maryland. The personality traits and expertise that helps me to be a great caregiver are: I am very compassionate, understanding, patient and kind; im fun and have a great love for music ( which I feel is therapeutic). I also have the expertise in Alzheimers/Dementia due to the fact that I was an in-home personal care aide for 5 years with someone who suffered from the disease. What attracted me to being a caregiver is my urge to help. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver was that I truly get a satisfaction out of being a person someone can trust in helping them along with things they can no longer do for themselves; creating bonds and forming trust to help individuals, spending time with individuals that may feel left out or forgotten. This is where caregivers like myself come in to let them feel like hope is not lost and they too can still live as much as a normal lives. The personal achievement that I am most proud of is going back to school for my degree. It was a tough process for me but i am making gains to get closer to that graduation date.
