I became a care giver in 2007, i just applied for the position without any experience, from there i learned how to properly take care of seniors that are not capable of doing things for themselves anymore through trainings that the company provided. I worked my way up to be a lead care manager and did it for 8 years. What i like about being a care giver is i learn so many things and develop my skills in many aspects. My personal achievement that i am proud of was when i got promoted to be a leader in a span of 6 months of employment. My name is Jovilee Rivera, 42 years old with 2 children. I am currently unemployed because i went to school for culinary arts. i have finished three modules of the program and i still have 1 more module to finish in order to graduate, but unfortunately funds were not enough and available for me in order to complete my course. i have plans of finishing it in the near future. i have worked in assisted living facility for a total of 8 years. i can say that i miss working in such environment. i like to help elderly and assist them in any way i can.
