About Joyce

I have been a part of the health care field for more than 20 years. In 1990,I began as a CNA, working in long-term care facilities, and as a Gaurdian's assistant. In 1994, I moved to Oregon where I continued as a CNA/Restorative aide in long-term facilities, and went on to become a Medications aide. In 2003 I let my CNA, lapse when I became an alcohol and drug counselor. I continued my education and in 2011, I graduated with honors, and was validictorian from my training at Carrington College in the Medical assistance, program. I am not that confident in back office proceedures so I did not continue on with my certificate. I attended AZmti to have my CNA reinstated in 2014. I became a caregiver, CNA because I felt a calling to help others. I feel a sense of honor when I know that at the end of the day I have done something that provides some comfort, no matter how small for someone else. My personal achievement is that I am confident in what I do, and continue to challenge my self to succeed in what ever I do.
