I started volunteering at age thirteen at nursing homes, that's when I knew taking care of others that couldn't help themselves was my calling. I have worked in many different areas of healthcare, nursing homes, hospitals, group homes for the disabled, aide at a boarding home for persons with mental disabilities, I also worked for Home Care Advantage as an HHA, going from house to house, cooking, cleaning, bathing etc.I'm not just attracted to this kind of work, I love it!! Helping others, help themselves is the best job you can have in my opinion. I love all aspects of being a caretaker, there is not just one thing I can say. I can and will do whatever needs to be done to make sure my people are as comfortable and happy as they can be. I wouldnt say I'm proud of anything I do, I love it and someone has to do it. I understand that it's not for everyone, but for me it's a blessing to be of any help to those that need it. I'm not sure if I answered the questions correctly, but I did answer honestly. Recently I let my certificates expire due to personal reasons, but I had my HHA, CPR, First side, sitter and companion licenses. All I have to do is take a refresher for all, because I have done it for so long, it's almost second nature to me.

I am an energetic, dependable person looking to make my contribution to the medical workplace. I am a CNA. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, and I possess outstanding computer skills and very good communication skills. I enjoy helping people and I hope to combine this interest with my medical training to further my career in patient care.
