About Linda

I became a garegiver when it was time to look at new opportunities after years in the IT field. I had received my diploma as a Medical Assistant years before and thought the medical field was where I wanted to be again. I enjoy meeting all types of new people and learning from them. My father was 95 when he passed and the family stories were and are amazing. My personal achievement is my wonderful son. I am looking forward to being a Grandma someday, but in the meantime I am happy to enjoy caring for your parent or grandparent.

    Life is about caregiving. When I was younger, I cared for a widow for several years until her death. I cared for my mother for six months until her death from ALL. I have had three caregiving positions which were compensatory. My last position ( as part of a team) was of long duration, but recently ended when the family opted to place their loved one in a memory care facility. I have cared for the elderly in my neighborhood, visiting, cooking, shopping etc. on a "good neighbor" basis. I retired in 2014 from my last career position in the medical field. Although I am not qualified to be a medical caregiver, I am medically savvy and have proven that I can handle emergencies should any arise. I consider myself a very nurturing person. I am competent and compassionate and caring . I have experience with immobility, dementia, chronic and terminal illness. I strive to make a difference...oh, and I am also a good cook.
