After being my dad's caregiver in his later years, I realized that my passion for helping seniors had skyrocketed to a whole new level. I knew then that there were people who needed my help, that I could make a difference in their lives, and there was no question in my mind that I was ready to dive into this career. I am a punctual, reliable and dependable person who does what is expected of me in a timely fashion. I have no problem going above and beyond what is asked of me in order to make my client happy. I am honest and trustworthy and recognize that it is my responsibility to gain the client's trust. As a caregiver, I always show empathy which translates into being patient and understanding of my client. My career as a caregiver is fueled by compassion and I ensure that the client feels cared for and loved at all times. The client's needs always come first, therefore I keep him/her engaged in activities that he/she enjoys. I'm a very good cook, meticulous, creative, have a great sense of humor and posess excellent organizational skills. Whenever the situation calls for flexibility, I rise to the occasion. I understand that occasionally the client could be hospitalized or be moved from home to a facility. I'm always willing to go wherever I'm needed. The ultimate goal is to provide excellent care regardless of the environment. Communication is key in any relationship, and as such, I strive to maintain a good rapor with the client, the family and the office. I pride myself in maintaining excellent work ethics which augers well for myself, as a professional, as well as the company I represent.
