What got me into caregiving was actually helping my mother care for my brother who has a severe learning disability and also caring for my grandmother from time to time who has dementia and is no longer mobile it was hard watching her mentally and physically deteriorate but I make her feel as if she is the same I don't treat her any differently than before I just try to keep her memories alive and smiles ongoing even though some days it's a struggle lol.I have always had a passion for helping others wether it was medical, financial, or just a friendship. I enjoy the companionship and reaching goals and achieving things that seemed impossible to clients because of their circumstances.
