I became a caregiver because, of my need to help people to live their optimal life. I love the people I sever or assist, to reach each individual goal. To be a person who makes that difference, in the quality of life of others. To bring a since of dignity and respect to those, who now need a helping hand. I am proud of all of those things I bring through skills and experience. I am proud of that fact that, despite adversity. I feel that my skills and experience will be an asset to whomever I serve. My experience ranges from, assisted living to hospice. I have over 15 years of hands on experience. I have about 15 months to complete my RN Degree. I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant. I am as well, a Direct Support Professional, which means, I am certified to work with individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities’. Which is normally in conjunction with having, Alzheimer’s, Dementia, C.P., M.S., and Parkinson’s, to name a few. I am skilled, as well as, in completing ADL’s (Activities of Daily living) including but, not limited to, bathing, meal preparation/feeding, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and Medication management/reminders.
