At this facility we specialize in rehabilitation after surgery, infection, and any other need. We also have long term residents who have various medical conditions. Here, I am in charge of medication pass, blood glucose monitoring, insulin administration, gastric tube care, gastric tube feedings, foley catheter care, pain management, monitoring vital signs, supervising CNAs to ensure proper repositioning, showering, feeding, grooming, etc. among other responsibilities. As an LPN for a private Dr office, I was in charge of scheduling appointments, performing initial patient assessments, taking vital signs, and administering medications as needed. In this position, the Dr I worked for specialized in infectious diseases. That being the case, I administered many vaccination shots and preventative flu, pneumonia, shingles, and other various injections. I was lucky enough to learn and perfect injection techniques to make them as pain free as possible. I myself hate getting shots so I try to make my patient's experience quick and pain free.

As a registry nurse I was sent to various hospitals to be a "floater nurse" and fill in different shifts when scheduled nurses had called off work. While this was challenging because I often walked into situations where there was no one available to orient me to where supply rooms were or which patents preferred what kind of care, I can honestly say that this was an amazing learning experience and made me a better nurse. In these positions I cared for patients who required different levels of care from just needing vitals taken, to being completely dependent on machines for breathing and feeding. I can assure you that I am more than qualified to accommodate yours or your loved ones needs.
