Hi , my name Judy! I been a caregiver for about 44 years give or take! experience I have a lot of but, I dont have a lot of my certifications ! Years ago I went to school for it and went all the way through to clinicals but.. had to drop out to move out west . I also was going to buy a cbrf and there too I needed all my certifications ! I worked in cbrf for 8 years taking care of 21 clients at one time ! I had lots of certifications but i lost the pack in the middle of moving and i cant get them back ! Just because I didn't have my CNA it didn't stop me from finding work anywhere? I have taken care of the elderly, handicapped, people with dementia Alzheimer's , Trakes , Foley Cathiters an leg bags , condom Cathiters , diabetes , high BP cancer, MS, QUAD, ALS, CP , respite you name it...... I done it!! One thing I found out? every person I come across has a story to tell about there life and some are really really sad and some are really really interesting and funny ! We are all put on this earth for the same reason and that's to love each other and to be kind and help each other out if your a bum on the street or a wealthy person that has all the riches ? I have a very big heart for people , I am very trustworthy caring , honest understanding, fun, thoughtful, respectful, don't do drugs smoke or drink alcohol! I am very friendly, outgoing and happy! I been told I am a very good cook and my family owned two broasted chicken restaurants one pizza through out my childhood ! I know there is a lot of bad and evil people out there that don't care or take advantage of people but, I ain't one of them ! I am a jesus lover and try to pick up my cross everyday !

MY ROLL AS A CAREGIVER AT THE SCHMIDT HOME WAS TO TAKE CARE OF 21 ELDERLY CLIENTS BY GIVING ALL 21 CLIENTS COMPANIONSHIP , SETTING UP TABLES FOR DINNER, PASSING OUT DINNER AND MEDICATIONS, CLEANING UP ALL DINNER DISHES , MEDICATION COUNT BEFORE MY NIGHT STARTED AND AFTER , HELPING THE CLIENTS GET UNDRESSED IF THEY NEEDED IT, CHECKING BLOOD SUGARS , CHANGING DEPENDS ON SOME OF THEM , CUTTING FINGERNAILS AND TOENAILS , SHOWERING SOME OF THEM IN THE MORNING , CLEAN ROOMS, DO EVERY ONES LAUNDRY IF THEY HAD SOME, PLAY GAMES, PLAY CARDS, DO PUZZLES, ANSWER PHONES, WALK UP AND DOWN HALLWAY TO DO A ROOM CHECK EVERY HOUR , GET PEOPLE READY FOR DR APPOINTMENTS AND TALK TO THERE FAMILY WHEN NEEDED.

My roll for taking care of MR WILLIS was COMPANIONSHIP! COMPANIONSHIP! COMPANIONSHIP!My Little Willy just loved to talk and we could sit and talk forever but besides this...... i had a big job taking care of all his personal needs like showering , toileting, shaving, comb his hair and trim his beard , dressing , brushing his teeth , changing condom catheter twice a day and leg bag , hand feed, give him his medication, take him to DR appointments, make all three meals, laundry , cleaning, writing some bills out, running him around town in his wheelchair accessible van , willy was a DJ in Wisconsin for years before i met him and i would help set up all his equipment and break it down at the end of the night and with that being said we wouldn't get home till 3am ! willy needed lots of help being in a wheelchair and i was there to be his hands , arms and legs do from Spinalbifida since he was 2 years old! one day i wanted to move back to ARIZONA and i had asked willy if he wanted to move with and he said......he would have to think about it and he would be right back so he took his chair down the hallway turned around and came back by me and said WHEN DO WE LEAVE? LOL LOL We lived in ARIZONA for 6 years together in an apartment and i was his personal caregiver!

JOHN HECKER

JOHN was a quadriplegic that I met from a add in our newspaper and became very good friends with him to the end! i found out that john was much different then all the other people i took care of and it wasn't me being the companion it was him that was being one to me !!!!! John always made a point to make me feel better and made me realize my problems were NOTHING compared to all his!!! he had a smile on his face every day , he always was laughing and cracking jokes and nothing seemed to bother Johnnie ! there was nothing that could happen to me that was as bad as him being in a motorized wheelchair being paralized from a motorcycle accident from the neck down!!! everything always seemed better after i left his apartment lol lol when i went for his interview we hit it off right out of the gate so i lived as a caregiver with john and my job was to get him ready for bed and to put him to bed every night ! i had to use a hoyer lift in and out of bed , flush and change Foley catheter, cook and hand feed , Dr appointments , Grocery shop and do his banking ! if i had the chance to meet john and work for him again i would do it all over the same way and wouldn't change a thing ! MY FRIEND JOHN PASSED AWAY ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO
