1. I became a caregiver/CNA because my father spent most of my teen years with my father in the hospital in critical care. When the nurses and CNA's slacked off I became very frustrated and just wanted them to try harder and give my father's care more attention. I also admired the nurses and CNA's who were on top of everything and took excellent care of my father and I was very appreciative. I admired who they were and what they did for people who were sick. 2. I like bringing a smile and comfort to those who are in pain or seem down. If I can make my patient smile or laugh and know that I have done everything to take care of them it makes me feel extremely happy and proud of my job. 3. Getting a job in a hospital was a great achievement for me. It taught me a lot about responsibility and time management. I am also a proud mother of a 4 year old and she is my pride and joy. 4. I am 25 years old and my first job was a Certified Nursing Assistant and it has been my only job field since 2012. I am responsible for a household of 3 which is my, my mother and my daughter. I very much need to maintain jobs that support my family and makes them proud of me.
