I have worked in healthcare for over 20 years as a nurse assistant. I have worked several years in the hospital setting as a floater in every department. I have extensive knowledge working with the elderly and special needs population. My experience includes, cancer care, colostomy care, memory care, Ms, msa, respiratory therapy, wound care, vitals, medication management, diabetes care, cardiac care, post op care, medical surgery, ICU, emergency care, advance CPR and first aid, licensed cardiac technician etc.

Growing up being the oldest of 6 siblings I had to be the caregiver due to my mother working long hours as a nurse. In my adult life I've had many jobs but no fulfillment until I started caring for others. I found my purpose and calling. I truly enjoy/ love being a caregiver it brings so much joy and self gratification. My mother played a big part of why I love being a caregiver. seeing the love she gave and the return love was something not to mention I had to care for my siblings. To know that a client feels safe and trust me with their care means a lot. To see them smile or just help them through a rough day knowing that they can count on me is a great reward. I've had a client I had just started with ask me, Is this just a job or do you care? I care about what I do. This is one of the biggest question that a client or family member has when looking for a caregiver. I smile all the time, staying positive, go beyond the call of duty, compassionate, caring, outgoing, patience,. etc. To have the opportunity to care for your love one or self would be a privilege and a blessing.
